Position: GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR (PILATES INSTRUCTOR)

Job Title: Group Fitness Instructor (Club Fitness) – Pilates Instructor

Department: Club Fitness

Reports to: Club Fitness Manager

Job Class: Regular Part-Time, non‑exempt, IMRF ineligible

Schedule: Monday ‑ Friday evenings and/or Saturday mornings, with possible sub opportunities. Not to exceed 19 hours per week.

Salary: $25.00 ‑ $40.00 per hour, based on certifications and experience

Position Summary: Reporting to the Club Fitness Manager, the Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for conducting various group exercise programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Safely instruct group exercise classes of various styles and intensities.
  • Follow all required safety guidelines of the Park District.
Required Qualifications
  • Current Adult CPR/AED certification.
  • Valid Group Fitness Instructor certification or license to teach.
  • Age 21+.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to act as substitute instructor on short notice.
Environmental & Physical Demands
  • Indoor work environment with the possibility for outdoor instruction.
Competencies
  • Must be able to follow directions and communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently in day-to-day operations with the general direction of the Club Fitness Manager.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere, while promoting the Park District's mission statement, vision, and core values.
  • Ability to maintain self‑control and composure in difficult situations.
  • Ability to receive constructive criticism and/or supervision.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to new situations.
  • Possess enthusiasm and drive with a desire to accomplish goals and objectives.
