Inside Sales Representative – Metals Industry

  • Location:

    Addison, IL
  • Salary: $70K–$80K base + commission (potential to earn an additional $5K–$15K annually)

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers in the metals industry
  • Handle inbound inquiries and quote requests via email and phone using Outlook
  • Coordinate internally with estimators and production to support customer needs
  • Provide excellent service post-sale—order processing, updates, technical questions, etc.
  • Follow up on digital marketing leads and campaigns (no aggressive cold-calling)
  • Occasionally visit local customers as needed (light travel within Chicagoland)
  • Collaborate on light marketing efforts like email follow-ups and materials distribution
  • Support the sales team at occasional trade shows or networking events What You Bring
    • BS/BA/AAS or equivalent experience — prefer 3+ years in metals, heat treating, service centers, or mills
    • 1+ years of sales experience (willing to train in manufacturing, metals, or related industries)
    • Comfortable discussing technical aspects of metal components or fabrication
    • Strong follow-up and communication skills
    • Organized multitasker who can manage multiple customer accounts with ease
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
    • Local to the Chicagoland area and able to travel locally as needed
