Credit Trainee – Ferguson

We are excited to offer a great opportunity to join the credit team as a Credit Trainee
. This early‑career role is designed to teach you everything you need to succeed in a long‑term credit career and is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with a few years of experience who is eager to learn the credit business.
The Credit Trainee program is an 8–12 month learning experience that immerses you in all aspects of credit operations, from warehouse and sales counter support to riding with delivery drivers, shadowing operations, visiting customers, and learning trade‑credit extensions. The program includes mentoring, coaching, and hands‑on learning with a strong commitment from credit leadership.

- 0–3 years work experience after a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑service driven environment and a strong desire to enter a career in credit development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including face‑to‑face conversations, phone communication, and public speaking.
- Ability to build relationships with high emotional intelligence and people skills.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate as part of a team.
Upon successful completion, you will be prepared for an entry‑level Credit Manager role responsible for a portfolio of accounts and managing A/R collections. Over time, you may progress to an Area Credit Manager position with greater responsibility and potential for people management.
Location & RelocationYour initial training will occur in Addison, IL.
You must be open to relocation after the training program. Ferguson offers a relocation allowance and will consider your preferred region across the U.S.

Pay Range$24.92 – $37.37 per hour (bonus or incentive plan eligible)
Estimated ranges displayed are monthly for salaried roles or hourly for all other roles.
