Engineering Project Technician

The Engineering Project Technician / Engineer serves technical and administrative functions in the manufacturing facilities at Mauser Packaging Solutions.

• Perform installation and troubleshooting of 480‑volt 3‑phase electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support continuous improvement, safety initiatives, and engineering and plant maintenance projects to meet budget and timeline goals.
• Design, fabricate, machine, and weld parts and components as required.
• Assist senior engineering team members with equipment installations, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with maintenance to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
• Physically troubleshoot and repair production equipment to ensure order fulfillment.
• Identify opportunities for system improvements, upgrades, or enhancements to optimize automation performance.
• Travel as needed for projects (approximately 70% travel, typically 1–2 weeks at a time).
• Perform physical installation of equipment during moves and upgrades.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED required;
  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of prior industrial mechanic or field service experience.
• Basic drafting experience using AutoCAD.
• Plastics experience a plus.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during on‑site visits and maintenance tasks.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Technical or electrical degree a plus.

• Lift 55 lbs. overhead.
• Walk, stand, crouch, and climb as necessary.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather.
• Work environment noise level typically loud.
• Environment can be very hot, above 90°F.
• Vision: 20/20 corrected; normal hearing.

The salary range is $75,000–$115,000 a year, depending on experience, location, and skills.
