Our client is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join its growing team in Elmhurst, IL
. This is a full‑time, direct‑hire opportunity focused on delivering high‑quality customer support through phone coverage, accurate order entry, and logistics coordination. This role is ideal for an early‑career professional or someone with strong customer service experience who is looking to build a long‑term career within a stable, people‑focused organization.

- Answer inbound customer phone calls and emails in a professional and service‑oriented manner
- Accurately enter customer orders into the internal system using PDF purchase orders
- Provide pricing, product availability, lead times, and order status information over the phone
- Manage logistics and backorders by tracking deliveries and arrivals and communicating updates to customers
- Look up parts and prepare quotes for customers as part of the logistics and order‑support process
- Maintain accurate records related to orders, deliveries, invoices, and proof of delivery (POD)
- Proactively identify and resolve customer issues or discrepancies related to orders or shipments
- Collaborate closely with Inside Sales (tier‑2 customer service) and cross‑functional teams
- Contribute to a high‑touch customer experience while supporting a fast‑paced, phone‑heavy environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Strong comfort with phone based customer interaction and data entry
- Retail or food service experience, especially roles requiring frequent problem solving with customers
- Exposure to customer service, order processing, or administrative support
- High volume data entry experience
- Strong customer service mindset with attention to detail
- Clear, professional phone communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
- Team oriented, reliable, and eager to learn
- Service level and attitude are more important than technical expertise
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
