Trade Specialist – Chicago, IL

What You’ll Do- Achieve top‑line sales targets by selling DEWALT, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, and PORTER CABLE brands to end‑user customers.
- Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end‑user partners, manage CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs.
- Teach and mentor the local market team on the End‑User development process, including trade associations, safety personnel, engineers, and purchasing.
- Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives.
- Maintain use of as a CRM and planning tool, and communicate successes and failures in a timely fashion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field preferred; construction field experience may substitute.
- 3+ years of sales or marketing experience for construction supplies, with a proven track record selling to high‑level executives and job‑site directors.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to meld empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results.
- Valid driver’s license and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
