Advanced Computer Learning Company (ACLC) is seeking a skilled Clinical Simulation Director to join the Special Operations Center for Medical Integration & Development (SOCMID) team. SOCMID plays a critical role in preparing Air Force Special Operations Command Medics for United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The Clinical Simulation Director facilitates medical simulation training in support of advanced medical procedures, trauma management, surgical procedures, prolonged casualty care, topical medicine management, and small unit care.
EssentialDuties / Responsibilities
- Operate part-task trainers, manikin-based simulators, surgical simulators, computerized simulators, virtual reality, and emerging technologies.
- Provide support in setting up simulation supplies/equipment for training scenarios that meet identified learning objectives.
- Operate, maintain, and debrief simulation-related audio‑video recording systems.
- Create troubleshooting documents, simulator checklists, and simulation lesson plans/scenarios for simulation equipment.
- Must be able to lift >75 pounds and move human patient simulation equipment to and from training areas, work in low-light, high-volume environments, and varying weather conditions simulating actual field, casualty evacuation, or aeromedical evacuation missions.

Minimum Qualifications- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Emergency Medical Technician‑Paramedic (EMT‑P) certification.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS‑I) certification.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor (ACLS‑I) certification.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor (PALS‑I) certification.
- Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) through NAEMT or Defense Health Agency, Joint Trauma System. If not current, personnel are required to complete TCCC within six weeks of onboarding.
- Must have an active secret security clearance.
- At least 2 years’ experience programming high‑fidelity human patient simulators (e.g., prolonged casualty care and trauma lanes).
- Prior experience in course development and education methodology.
- Knowledge of military trauma clinical skills, procedures, and processes, including Joint Trauma Systems (JTS) Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG).
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) certifications preferred.
The position operates in classroom settings, lab settings, and field conditions. The employee must regularly lift or move >75 pounds. The employee will regularly stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Specific vision abilities required include close vision. The employee will regularly sit, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and communicate by talking or hearing.
