Trial Period: 12 months in accordance with (OAC) 260:

Travel: Extensive fieldwork, training & conference attendance with extended day and overnight travel is required.

Position Summary

This position supports the Groundwater Monitoring Section by collecting, analyzing, and managing groundwater quality and quantity data across Oklahoma. The role involves extensive fieldwork, technical data validation, aquifer testing, routine chemical analysis, and preparation of data summary reports. The incumbent operates and maintains field equipment, ensures scientifically defensible data collection and analysis, and collaborates with project managers on planning and implementation of environmental investigations and complex data analysis projects.

  • Operates field trucks, pumps, and other field equipment.
  • Performs aquifer tests.
  • Performs validations on groundwater quality and quantity data or other types of data.
  • Performs routine chemical tests of samples.
  • Prepares, or reviews data summary reports of investigations, sampling, chemical analysis, or other related tasks.
  • Maintain and calibrate various types of electronic and non-electronic equipment.
  • Enters data and manipulates spreadsheets from a variety of investigations and projects.
