The Equipment Operator will drive, maneuver, or control heavy machinery during the construction process.

• Safely and efficiently operate various pieces of heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, and backhoes.
• Operate machinery in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
• Communicate with the foreperson regarding daily job specifications.
• Perform daily maintenance and inspections of equipment; refer major problems to the foreperson.
• Perform all duties safely and in accordance with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Follow directions of the foreperson regarding daily tasks and expectations for each specific project.
• Clean the machines regularly (e.g., sweep cabs, remove trash, clean the interior).
• Assist in training less‑experienced employees on proper operations and servicing of equipment.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.

• Ability to communicate appropriately with co‑workers, supervisors, and the public.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Knowledge of materials and equipment needed to perform tasks.
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime when necessary.

• High school diploma or equivalent education; plus one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess valid licenses and certifications.

• This position pays an hourly rate of $58–$60 per hour.
