Job Summary

We are seeking a Service/Test Technician for a testing systems/equipment manufacturing company in Acton, MA. This role is responsible for setting up, conducting, and troubleshooting tests on testing equipment, with a focus on refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems, ensuring equipment quality and performance. This is a DIRECT HIRE position.

Responsibilities:

  • Starting up, troubleshooting, and performing tests on our standard product line, including the calibration and operation of refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with systems, making necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure proper functionality.
  • Perform basic final assembly work.
  • Ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
  • Implement and improve procedures.
  • Gather and document pertinent data on the performance of products and prototypes.
  • Maintain standards for product testing and inspection as part of the overall quality standard.
  • Participate in a team environment to develop and design new and existing products.
  • Implement and participate in Lean and 5S processes and projects.
  • Work closely with the engineering and quality teams to improve overall product quality.
  • Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience with HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
  • Competent with computers including Google suites preferred.
  • Previous experience in a test or service technician role, preferably in a manufacturing or commercial environment preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of test standards (ASTM, IEC, ISO, MIL-STD) preferred.
  • The schedule is Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM. This is a DIRECT HIRE position. The pay is dependent on experience.
