Pay rate:
up to $67/hour
The Senior Global Payroll Partner plays a key role in managing payroll operations, time‑tracking processes, and payroll system functionality across a global workforce. This position focuses heavily on analysis, process improvement, issue resolution, and the development of best‑practice payroll procedures. The role partners closely with internal teams, external vendors, and global tax authorities to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll operations.
Reporting to the Global Payroll Director, this individual helps standardize and strengthen global payroll processes, ensuring secure, well‑documented workflows supported by strong controls and system integrity.
Core Responsibilities Payroll Operations & Process Improvement- Evaluate current payroll procedures and recommend improvements to build a high‑performing global payroll function.
- Align payroll rules, policies, and procedures with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide high‑quality customer service to employees, managers, tax authorities, and third‑party partners.
- Ensure payroll team members are fully trained and performing at a high level.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials; deliver training to payroll staff and time approvers.
- Lead the management of payroll and time‑tracking systems, including configuration, data audits, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Drive end‑to‑end payroll system implementations to streamline and enhance existing processes.
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams, external vendors, and functional partners to ensure effective use of Workday.
- Analyze issues, elevate appropriately, and support timely resolution.
- Build strong relationships with system users, leadership, and cross‑functional partners.
- Promote proactive use of Workday to solve business needs and improve process efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of progressive payroll experience
. - Workday experience is required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into operational requirements.
- Experience implementing end‑to‑end payroll processes and compliance solutions for multi‑site or international organizations.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
- Experience with complex payroll environments, including multi‑region setups, disability programs, benefits, and garnishments.
- Understanding of accounting principles and payroll tax compliance.
- Experience in manufacturing environments is beneficial.
- Background in payroll system implementation and auditing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Concur, and Workday.
- Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and strong customer service orientation.
