Senior HR Specialist – Benefits & Leaves | On-Site | Acton, MA

    This on-site role owns benefits administration and leave management, partnering closely with HR leadership to ensure compliance, accuracy, and employee support.

    We’re seeking a Senior HR Specialist to lead benefits administration and leave management for our Acton-based manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives on accuracy, compliance, and employee support.

    Key Responsibilities

    Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness)

    Serve as the primary contact for benefits inquiries, issue resolution, and vendor communication

    Manage leave programs including FMLA, PFML, ADA, STD/LTD, and workers’ compensation

    Ensure compliance with federal, state, and plan-level requirements

    Conduct new hire benefits onboarding and support HRIS enrollment (UKG)

    Maintain accurate HRIS data and generate reports for audits and renewals

    Support annual open enrollment and benefits audits

    Assist with training program administration and recordkeeping

    5+ years of HR experience with a focus on benefits and leave administration

    Strong knowledge of FMLA, PFML, ADA, and compliance requirements

    Experience with HRIS systems (UKG preferred)

    Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

    Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion

    High school diploma or equivalent required; HR certification a plus
