About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Assistant to support ​a​n Accounts Payable team on a temporary basis, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent.

This position plays a key role in supporting the finance function by ensuring purchase invoices and orders are processed accurately and efficiently in line with business requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting the Accounts Payable team with the processing of purchase orders (circa 2,000+ per month)

Working closely with the wider finance team to provide day-to-day support

Resolving issues and disputes relating to purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner

Corresponding with suppliers and internal stakeholders professionally and promptly, escalating issues where required

Supporting the management team to ensure best practice and smooth operation of iDocuments and SAP systems

Undertaking additional duties as required to support the needs of the business

What We're Looking For

A reliable and proactive individual with previous experience in a similar accounts or finance role

A strong team player who can work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to multitask

A flexible and enthusiastic approach with a positive, can-do attitude

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or finance role (essential)

Experience working within a finance team (essential)

Knowledge of accounting software; SAP Business One experience would be advantageous

Strong IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Qualifications &

Education:

Preferably a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English
