Senior Full Stack Developer; Node.js + React Native

Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional specializing in full‑stack development with a strong focus on Node.js for backend and React Native for mobile applications to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and high‑performance cross‑platform mobile apps. This position is based onsite in Abu Dhabi, requiring 3 days a week in the office.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain backend systems using Node.js
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure APIs
- Build and maintain cross‑platform mobile applications using React Native (iOS and Android)
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features across web, mobile, and backend
- Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and smooth user experience on mobile devices
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Node.js and React Native development
- 5+ years of professional experience in full‑stack development, with strong emphasis on Node.js backend and React Native for mobile
- Strong proficiency in Type Script
- Familiarity with AI‑assisted development workflows, including prompt engineering basics for code generation, reviewing/validating AI‑generated code, and leveraging tools beyond basic (e.g., Claude Code or advanced LLM usage)
- Experience with event‑driven architecture and microservices
- Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Experience with Copilot or similar tool
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization
- Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Contributions to open‑source projects or personal projects showcasing your skills (especially React Native apps or full‑stack Node.js + mobile work)
- Experience with state management in React Native (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or Context API), mobile‑specific optimizations, and platform‑specific code handling
