Important:
You will be the first core team member of our Engineering team working directly with the Founders to build the Engineering function from scratch. This role requires a lot of heavy lifting and startup hustle.

Region: UAE | Remote

You will be the founding engineer working closely with the founders on a day-to-day basis.

You will be laying the tech foundation of the company which will be internal as well as client-facing products.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, coding, and delivering software products on the roadmap of the company while also envisioning the future of engineering.

You will also manage and lead SDEs in the team.

You enjoy and have experience conceptualizing and building back-end solutions, APIs & FE flows.

You’ve built and maintained custom code platforms with high user volumes. You hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems.

You enjoy building a product from scratch. This means high involvement in the design process and understanding of customer wants. It also means that you enjoy making technical decisions.

You love learning technologies as you go. You always want to find the right tool for the job and don't only follow what you already know.

You are not just about engineering quality but also about customers and other stakeholders in the business.

Hands‑On Engineer, would need to build POCs, set coding standards for the code base, and deploy emergency fixes when needed. You can make trade‑offs between speed and quality.

3-5 years of industry experience working as a full‑stack software engineer. Experienced in System design & architecture.

Experience working with REST APIs and integration.

Bachelor in Computer Science or similar or equivalent experience in Software Development.

Strong fundamental base in operating systems, languages, databases, and networks.

Well‑versed with software development and different cycles of the same.

Proven experience and good track record working in Nodejs and related tech stacks.

Strong grasp of the fundamentals of Java script.

Basic knowledge of deployment pipelines and CI/CD tools like jenkins, circleci etc.

Experience mentoring and coaching junior engineers.

Experience and/or strong knowledge of object‑oriented languages like Java, Python, or Golang.

Work with a stellar team - Ex-Careem, McKinsey, and Zomato that has built and scaled products across MENA region.
