Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Boat Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine mechanics and possess a passion for boats and the marine industry. As a Boat Mechanic you will be responsible for performing maintenance repairs and installations on various types of boats and marine equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Perform routine maintenance on boats including engine tune-ups oil changes and filter replacements
• - Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
• - Install and repair boat engines transmissions and other mechanical systems
• - Conduct inspections of boats and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs
• - Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
• - Maintain a clean and organized work area
• - Communicate effectively with customers and provide excellent customer service
• - Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in boat mechanics

Requirements:

• - High school diploma or equivalent
• - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a boat mechanic
• - Strong knowledge of boat engines electrical systems and other mechanical systems
• - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• - Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
• - Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• - Excellent communication and customer service skills
• - Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
• - Valid drivers license and clean driving record
• - Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
