We’re looking for a passionate Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at Sweet Greens — a health-focused, sustainable restaurant serving fresh and organic meals.
Responsibilities- Assist in preparing and cooking healthy dishes (salads, bowls, mains).
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
- Support senior chefs in daily operations and prep.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of fresh ingredients.
- Uphold Sweet Greens’ standards for quality and presentation.
- Previous kitchen experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.

Basic culinary knowledge and strong interest in healthy and wholesome cooking
Knife skills and ability to follow proper food preparation and portioning techniques
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately while maintaining consistency
Strong attention to detail in presentation and plating
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist senior chefs
Good time management and ability to work efficiently under pressure
Eagerness to learn and grow within a professional kitchen environment
Flexibility and adaptability to handle different kitchen tasks as required
Basic knowledge of vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free food preparation (advantage)
