Chinese Cook

The ideal candidate should have experience preparing authentic Chinese dishes, possess deep knowledge of traditional ingredients and cooking methods, and maintain high standards of hygiene and food presentation. The Chinese Cook will be responsible for creating flavorful and visually appealing meals that represent the richness of Chinese cuisine.

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of traditional and modern Chinese dishes.
• Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of all food served.
• Assist in the planning and updating of Chinese menu items, specials, and seasonal dishes.
• Monitor food stock and place orders as needed for Chinese-specific ingredients.
• Maintain proper food storage, rotation, and labeling to minimize waste and maintain food safety.
• Follow and enforce kitchen hygiene and sanitation standards at all times.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and assist in training junior staff on Chinese cooking techniques.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and report any malfunction or repair needs.

• Proven experience as a Chinese Cook or similar role in a restaurant or hotel.
• Deep understanding of Chinese cuisine, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Culinary certificate or diploma preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen cleanliness standards.

• Previous experience in a Chinese specialty restaurant.
• Basic knowledge of English for communication within a multicultural team.
• Passion for Chinese culture and cuisine.
