Staff Nurse; Pediatric Orthopedic
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing orthopedic treatments and surgeries.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and physiotherapists.
Assist with orthopedic procedures, casting, traction, and post‑operative care.
Monitor patient conditions, manage pain effectively, and provide wound care as required.
Support children and families by providing education on recovery, mobility, and home care.
Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
Uphold infection control, patient safety, and hospital quality standards.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
Participate in staff training, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
Valid nursing license/registration with [insert relevant authority – e.g., DOH, DHA, MOH].
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pediatric or orthopedic nursing (preferably both).
BLS and PALS certifications required.
Strong knowledge of orthopedic procedures, pediatric care protocols, and family‑centered care principles.
Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in a tertiary or specialized pediatric hospital.
Certification or training in Pediatric Orthopedic Nursing.
Bilingual (Arabic and English) skills are an advantage.
