Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Department (OPD) team. As a Registered Nurse in OPD, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients while ensuring adherence to established health and safety standards. This role requires a professional who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will possess a current DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license and have experience in handling diverse cases in OPD settings.
You will play a crucial role in patient education, treatment planning, and executing nursing practices collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will help to ensure that patients receive the best possible care throughout their medical experiences in our facility, fostering both patient satisfaction and clinical excellence.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to OPD patients based on individual treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Monitor patients for changes in status and communicate significant observations to medical staff.
- Assist in the development and modification of patient care plans as necessary.
- Conduct patient history assessments and document findings accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention topics.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the OPD environment to meet safety standards.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical practices in all aspects of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed in OPD.
- Current and valid DHA license as a Registered Nurse is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Minimum of two years experience in an OPD or similar clinical setting.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to handle diverse patient needs effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented and dynamic environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and practicing ethical nursing standards.
