The Staff Nurse is accountable for coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. The role supports professional nursing practice across the continuum of care to meet patient and family needs, aligning with the mission, vision, and values of SSMC, and adhering to the Nursing Scope of Practice and the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and UAE.

• Assessment and Diagnosis
  • Collect and analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis/issues.
  • Assess comprehensive data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) and interpret information to derive diagnosis.
  • Use evidence-based assessment techniques and validate diagnosis with patient, family, and team.
  • Prioritize data based on immediate condition or anticipated needs and identify risks.
  • Document information in compliance with guidelines.
• Planning and Outcomes Identification
  • Identify expected outcomes and develop plans for health promotion, restoration, and maintenance.
  • Involve patient, family, and team in culturally appropriate individualized plan.
  • Apply evidence-based nursing practices; modify plan based on ongoing assessment.
  • Document measurable goals using standardized language.
• Implementation and Coordination of Care Delivery
  • Execute plan with timely evidence-based interventions.

• Experience
  • Required:
    
    Minimum 2 years clinical experience post‑qualification in an appropriate setting, or waivable for graduates of UAE nursing colleges/universities with completed internship.

• Educational Qualification
  • Required:
    • Bachelor degree in Nursing, or
    • Degree in Nursing (minimum two years course duration) AND registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, or Australia, AND valid/current national license, AND BLS.
  • Desired:
    • ACLS, PALS relevant to area of specialty.
