Overview

MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADER

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on rolling mill equipment (e.g., gearboxes, motors, hydraulic systems).
• Assist in installing new equipment, machinery, and systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards.
• Inform rolling mill technicians on mass variance set by quality control.
• Oversee the mechanical maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely; troubleshoot-related issues, making necessary adjustments and repairs.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules for machinery and equipment.
• Adhere to safety regulations for working with heavy machinery, including lockout / tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in safety training sessions, audits, and initiatives aimed at maintaining a safe work environment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Prepare reports on maintenance metrics and present findings to management. Document all roll repairs and modifications, ensuring traceability for quality control purposes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency in maintenance operations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members during maintenance and repair activities.

Minimum 3 years working experience, 2 years relevant working experience, 1 year GCC experience is a plus

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with various mechanical components, such as pumps, motors, and gear systems.

Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical or any related field
