Upholstery Attendant

Position: UPHOLSTERY ATTENDANT
We are currently seeking an experienced Upholstery Attendant to work with our private client in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, restoration, and maintenance of various upholstered furniture and fixtures in the client's residence.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and restore upholstered furniture, including chairs, sofas, and cushions.
• Select appropriate fabrics, padding, and materials for upholstery projects.
• Measure and cut fabric and padding to fit furniture pieces accurately.
• Operate sewing machines to create custom upholstery covers, cushions, and fabric components.
• Replace or repair foam cushioning to maintain comfort and shape integrity.
• Inspect furniture frames for structural issues and make necessary repairs.
• Apply finishing touches to enhance the appearance of upholstered furniture.
• Consult with the client to understand their upholstery needs and preferences.
• Inspect completed upholstery projects to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
• Work with conciseness to give the best results and good quality of work.
• Use a set of cleaning chemicals, equipment, techniques, and tools on carpets and floors.
• Apply stain removers and pre-cleaning treatments to hard- to-clean spots

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in upholstery or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in upholstery tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of various upholstery materials and their applications.
• Strong sewing and fabric-cutting skills.
• Attention to detail and precision.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for lifting and maneuvering furniture.
