Senior Prototype Workshop Specialist

• Liaising regularly with the Head of Departments of Production for items to be manufactured or modified.
• Planning and scheduling of workshop activities.
• Planning and implementing maintenance schedules of machinery and equipment.
• Ensure that the personnel are properly trained for equipment that are used.
• Safe operation of equipment at all time.
• Safety of the workshop and personnel.
• Planning and monitoring of expenses of the Workshop and Paint shop.
• Ordering of material and supplies for above mentioned activities.
• Management of personnel in the workshop and paint shop.

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Technology, or a related technical field
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in workshop operations, machinery maintenance, or production environments.
• Proven experience in team supervision, maintenance planning, and safety compliance.
• Tertiary technical training with strong practical knowledge of workshop processes.
• Qualified tradesman, capable of understanding and overseeing complex mechanical and fabrication tasks.
• Qualified in the operation of various machinery and equipment, with the ability to train or assess others in safe use.
• Experience in budgeting, inventory control, and procurement procedures is an advantage.

• Proficient in maintenance planning and workshop scheduling.
• Excellent understanding of machinery operation and safety protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and coordination with cross‑functional teams.
