Title
Project Manager - Mixed Use
LocationAbu Dhabi, UAE
Role SummaryReports to the Project Director for ensuring delivery of one or more project sites. The Project Manager will manage all aspects of project management from early construction stages through completion and handover.
Project DescriptionK has been appointed under a framework agreement with the largest developer in Abu Dhabi to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects that contribute to Abu Dhabi's growth. This includes developing essential infrastructure such as transportation networks and utilities, public spaces, residential housing, educational facilities, mosques and infill development projects. This PMC role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on Abu Dhabi's built environment.
MainResponsibilities
- Manage all aspects of delivering one or more projects as part of the programme management consultant's role on a major programme of development works.
- Manage and support the Site Operations Team to ensure project goals and schedule are understood and delivered.
- Deliver all project construction work, coordinating logistics, permitting, commissioning and handover activities to meet technical, budget, schedule and quality requirements.
- Interface with all sections of the team to meet overall program deliverables.
- Develop, establish and execute standards, policies, procedures and best practices.
- Liaise with the Engineering Team to assist in the development of design solutions that promote constructability and value engineering.
- Monitor and report on the performance of construction supervisors and contractors, including QHS&E requirements.
- Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans.
- Ensure construction works comply with authorities' regulations.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Director and Client, preparing weekly and monthly progress reports and interfacing with the Client and end users.
- BSc in a related subject or equivalent experience with proven experience in Project Management.
- Minimum 15 years overall experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Middle East.
- Sound knowledge of all operational aspects of major civil projects.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in project management, construction management and the delivery of complex major projects.
- Advanced MS Office, MS Excel and Primavera Contracts Manager proficiency an advantage.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Arabic advantageous.
- Experience in delivery of parks, public buildings and retail outlets.
- Familiar with sustainable construction practices and Estidama requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
