Overview
The Head of Legal is responsible for leading the Group’s legal strategy and overseeing corporate legal advisory across all entities and business lines. The role provides executive-level legal guidance to the Group CEO and governance support to the Board Secretary, ensuring effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and sound contract governance. The position safeguards the Group’s legal interests while supporting the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of projects and operations.
Responsibilities- Draft and negotiate complex construction contracts, joint venture agreements, supplier terms, and FIDIC-based frameworks.
- Manage litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations across the Group.
- Advise on compliance with real estate, building codes, labour, and trade laws.
- Establish and oversee governance policies, ensuring legal clarity and consistency across cross-entity operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Law, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, compliance, or risk management.
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role within a multi-entity, diversified organization (construction/industrial sector preferred).
- Construction experience is essential for this position.
