Overview
The Program Manager is responsible for the over-all management of assigned programs/projects and development of program management processes covering initiating, planning, executing, controlling, coordinating and implementing various activities to ensure that goals, objectives and program key performance indicators (KPIs) are accomplished according to scope, schedule, cost and quality objectives.
Responsibilities
Works closely with and under the direction of the Head of PMO in coordinating and providing direction to program planning and execution.Supports the development and management of metrics for reporting and decision making.Communicates status of activities, performance, risks and issues to internal and external customers.Defines and directs the execution of program/project goals.Develops program charters and program management plan (PMP) and integrated master schedule.Directs the development and management of program/project budget and resource loading.Manages the effective achievement of program management team objectives – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating employees, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and program team performance.Monitors team performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Conducts performance reviews.Manages the development and establishment of the program or project management processes or methodology for the program.Supports program and project managers in data gathering and analysis for the purpose of developing program plans, and reporting program performance and status.Ensures that programs are being monitored through metrics and KPIs in order to provide management with accurate assessment of the current status and performance. Support the program business rhythm framework to avoid excessive cost and schedule overruns.Provides input to program plan.Provides advice and guidance to team members to keep them aligned and achieve team goals and objectives.Develops the team by providing trainings to increase proficiency levels and ensure team members consistently deliver the required performance.Provides inputs to program integrated plan.Leads project teams and facilitate the communication and interaction amongst team members.Prepares presentations for executives and managers.Manages engines/programs/projects and manage the day-to-day activities of the team.Manages high level risks and develops mitigation plans.Manages issues and develops resolution plans.Analyzes data and converts into usable and valuable information.Develops framework and templates that would enable programs to effectively manage, control and report risks, issues and opportunities.Supports the program business rhythm framework in order to support program management activities in different program levels.Develops metrics and other tools to efficiently manage and control programs or projects, and accurately monitor and report status.On an on-going basis, examines current operational processes to identify and implement potential operational improvements that will positively impact upon service, safety, environmental and cost performance.Manages effectively the achievement of the objectives through assisting the Department Head in managing the maintenance operations – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize the performance of the maintenance staffs.Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Maintenance Operations at the Facility to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality aircraft maintenance service and a responsible environmental attitude.Contributes towards the on-going review of the physical condition of the Facility operational assets to ensure that those assets are in a suitable condition to allow the…
