Job Purpose
Drive and operate various sizes of cranes and forklifts at assigned location to assist Operations and Maintenance personnel in the lifting, transportation and replacement of heavy equipment, pipes, valves and other machinery in line with the safety regulations.
Job Specific Accountabilities (Part1)
- Operate the forklift and crane within their limits to lift and transport a wide variety of materials and pipes at the assigned location. Manipulate heavy parts into a suitable position before attempting to lift using forklift.
- Check loads are within crane capacity and carry out operations smoothly and in accordance with safety and operational procedures.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance and repair on cranes and associated equipment. Report any mechanical problems or malfunctions.
- Undertake the lifting of materials in such a way as to avoid any type of damage to the materials.
- Inspect and maintain the crane regularly as prescribed by both the company and manufacturer.
- Check that the site is adequately prepared for the crane.
- Check the load chart to ensure that the crane has sufficient net lifting capacity for every lift.
- Follow the manufacturer's operating instructions in accordance with the load chart.
- Consider all factors that might reduce crane lift capacity and adjust the load weight to suit. This includes such factors as weather conditions and ground conditions.
- Maintain communication with signal persons.
- Perform other similar or related duties, as assigned. Includes observing traffic regulations and mandatory safety codes, obtaining work permits to enter prohibited areas, ensuring that registration and insurance papers are kept valid at all time, maintaining a stock of required consumable materials, ensuring that work areas are left in a clean and hazard‑free condition, etc.
- Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.
- Provide on‑the‑job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.
- Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures and functional processes.
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
- Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.
- Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during operations, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
- Provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
- Prepare various Key Performance Indicator (KPI) checklists for management.
- Contact with line Manager/ peers and other employees within the company/Group as required.
- Contact with external parties including consultants, third party service providers, and government agencies as required.
- Completion of Primary Education.
- 4 years of experience.
- Valid UAE heavy duty driving license.

: A/C environment, could be exposed to the prevailing weather conditions like heat, humidity & dust during occasional site visits.
