Offer description
  • Maintains the resort swimming pool and water fountain network at best conditions.
  • Ensures the application and execution of a preventive maintenance program for related equipment and machinery.
  • Adds chemicals as instructed by the pool supervisor.
  • Analyzes pool balance parameters daily and records them in operational log sheets for the pool supervisor.
  • Maintains swimming pool interior lights.
  • Performs minor electrical maintenance of swimming pool pump stations.
  • Updates the preventive maintenance program timely to the pool supervisor.
  • Uses all necessary precautions when handling chemical products.
  • Leads the pool attendants on site for efficient daily pool maintenance.
  • Ensures recommended health and hygiene conditions of the swimming pool at all times.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the workplace and pump stations, ensuring self‑ and environmental safety, and also ensures safety of pool attendants.
  • Fosters good work relations with the pool team to meet off‑hour guest demands.
  • Completes any other duties directed by the pool supervisor.
  • Attends to all maintenance work related to pools and water features.
  • Responds to maintenance requests, calls, and repairs in plant rooms.
  • Addresses any faults or breakdowns of equipment or plant rooms.
  • Maintains all underwater lights and outdoor lights in pools & water features.
  • Records all parts used during repairs and informs the maintenance officer to order parts.
  • Checks, maintains, and tests the fire detection system periodically, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Stands on call for any emergency electrical, plumbing, or cleaning work after midnight as per duty roster or as required by the Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer.
  • Attends daily morning briefing (except day off).
  • Maintains cleanliness around the workshop and areas where work was performed.
  • Attends duties on time as per duty roster.
  • Assists engineering crews in emergencies, or in case of fire, natural disaster, and calamities.
  • Looks after guest safety and addresses guest issues quickly, ensuring complete satisfaction with the work done.
  • Reports daily work plans, work follow‑ups, and inspection reports to the supervisor or duty engineer.
  • Follows the Work Order Taker Procedure.
  • Helps personnel when lifts are off or stuck.
  • Operates fire alarm and fire equipment.
  • Checks equipment stock daily for the engineering shift.
  • Handles all assigned work in a safe, speedy manner, meeting hotel standards.
  • Looks after all tools supplied by the hotel in a professional manner, and maintains and deposits them after the shift.
  • Records all jobs done and recommendations in the log book and other required forms, submitting immediately.
  • Informs the Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer of non‑operative or improper equipment, difficulties, possible delays, performance, and suggestions.
  • Monitors spare parts and materials, making requisitions to keep replacements available.
  • Assists other technicians in performing jobs as directed, maintaining the condition of swimming pools, water features, & pump rooms to resort standards.
  • Pays particular attention to noise, uniform cleanliness, grooming, and professional conduct when working in guest areas.
  • Handles shift duties without complaint.
  • Attends meetings and training as directed by superiors.
  • Follows all instructions, rules, and regulations issued.
  • Clears all work areas after finishing tasks.
  • Follows all safety procedures while carrying out tasks.
  • Maintains effective communication with the shift leader at all times.
  • Actively participates in the hotel’s energy conservation programs.
  • Recommends environmentally‑friendly products in the workplace.
  • Suggests cost‑saving ideas when possible, not limited to the engineering department.
Profile
  • Must have the appropriate documented training from a technical/vocational institute.
  • One year operating experience in a hotel engineering department.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
