Head of Motor Recovery - Motor Claims Department About the job

Our client is a leading Insurance group based in UAE, seeking to hire a Head of Motor Recovery - Motor Claims Department for their Head office in Abu Dhabi. The position will be reporting to the Head of Motor Department
.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Motor Recovery Department, overseeing all aspects of the department's operations, including staff management, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement recovery strategies and procedures to maximize recoveries and minimize costs.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient handling of motor recovery claims, including liaising with third‑party recovery agents, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, claims handlers, and senior management, to ensure the effective management of motor recovery claims.
  • Provide training and support to the motor claims team on motor recovery processes and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on motor recovery trends and provide analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
  • Continuously review and improve the motor recovery processes and procedures to ensure best practice and maximum efficiency.
Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the motor insurance industry
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of managing teams.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the motor recovery process, including regulatory requirements, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
