Digital Solutions Architect - Aviation & Travel

This role is responsible for designing and developing solutions, with a strong focus on Amadeus solutions and systems, particularly their booking engines, along with supporting Digital APIs and eRetail Web Services. It requires close collaboration with Digital Channels (Web & Mobile), Offer, Order, Merchandising, Customer Management, Revenue Management, and payment systems to create integrated and future-proof solutions. Additionally, the role is expected to provide thought leadership and strategic direction, shaping the overall roadmap with value-driven initiatives.

• Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions aligned with business objectives and user needs.
• Translate business and technical requirements into architectural enablers in collaboration with stakeholders, IT teams, and system integrators.
• Oversee system integration to ensure seamless data flow, interoperability, and performance across the airline’s ecosystem.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend optimal solutions based on scalability, security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to architecture principles and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in partnership with cybersecurity teams.
• Establish and maintain architectural standards, documentation, and governance to ensure consistency and quality across all programs.
• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks, optimizing system reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with project managers, UX/UI, and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to align design, timelines, and deliverables with strategic goals.
• Manage relationships with vendors and technology partners to ensure timely, quality-aligned delivery of services and components.
• Continuously monitor system performance, recommend improvements, and drive architectural evolution through new tools and methodologies.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to identify opportunities for performance optimization and cost savings.

• 7+ years of experience in Solution and a proven track record in executing complex IT projects.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is desirable.
• Previous experience with Amadeus airline systems is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in senior stakeholder management.
• The position also involves close collaboration with other architects, business teams, and project teams.
• Proven experience in understanding corporate strategy and implementing all business processes that define how a company achieves its strategic goals.
• One or more certifications in Solution and/or Enterprise Architecture, such as SAFe Architect, TOGAF, Open Certified Architect, or ISEB Architecture, are preferred.
• Experience in aligning business and IT, promoting shared approaches, and delivering sustainable, reusable enterprise architecture through both agile and waterfall methods.
