Manager - Organizational Planning and Strategy
Job Purpose
The Manager, Organizational Planning and Strategy supports the strategic and long-range planning functions of the university, including enrolment and associated revenue forecasts, academic program planning, assessment of institutional performance, business case analyses and management of the official institutional reporting systems. The position also has responsibility for the provision of accurate and timely official institutional data, analyses and reports to support institutional decision making and to ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory and rankings requirements.
Key Responsibilities Data Analytics, Management and Reporting- Manages institutional data collection, compilation, validation and submission to ensure ADU’s ongoing compliance with various national and emirate-level regulatory bodies, international accrediting bodies, rankings agencies, and other external bodies as required
- Collects and compiles statistical quality data for analysis to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
- Facilitates surveys, focus groups and other data‑gathering mechanisms to develop reports on key institutional performance areas such as student evaluation of teaching, student satisfaction, and faculty and staff satisfaction, and communicates outcomes to management.
- Support the Annual Program Enhancement Review process with data analytics
- Oversee the enhancements, maintenance and upgrades of business intelligence tools used for institutional reporting
- Oversee the formulation, reporting and update of annual enrolment projections
- Ensure alignment of projections with annual budget requirements
- Prepare and disseminate credit hour projections as the key component of revenue forecasts
- Coordinate three to five year academic planning pipeline and associated enrollment levels
- Facilitate market demand research to inform academic planning
- Facilitates the assessment of achievement of the Strategic Plan through oversight of ADU’s key planning measurement system of balanced scorecards
- Designs and reports key performance indicators to measure progress towards strategic goal attainment
- Collaborates with colleges and departments to align and support planning across the University
- Manages information and analyses that inform institutional strategic plans and periodical updates
- Prepare and present strategic planning-related reports for service and administrative departments
- Analyzes and recommends emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, internal business performance and business process improvement
- Ensures that strategic planning activities are designed in alignment with MOHESR, CAA, ADEK, KHDA, accreditation agencies such as but not limited to ABET, AACSB, EQUIS, WASC, RIBA and APHEA, and ranking agencies such as but not limited to QS, Times Higher Education, UI Green Metric, ARWU Shanghai, Arab Association of Universities.
Supervises, project manages and mentors the departmental research analysts to ensure that their work products are accurate, timely and fulfil institutional needs.

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as business, data science, statistics, economics, engineering, etc.
Master’s degree preferred.
Years Of Experience RequiredMinimum 5–7 years’ experience in a planning/institutional research role in a large, complex organizational environment.
Nature Of Relevant Experience Required3 years’ experience in a senior institutional researcher role in an academic environment.
Advanced understanding of the business processes of higher educational institutions, preferably in the UAE.
CertificationPreferred professional certifications in advanced analytics or data science, e.g., Power BI, Qlik View / Qlik Sense, Tableau, IBM, SAS, or other.
