IT Director - Emirate Talent

A leading, government-backed energy infrastructure organisation is seeking a Director – Corporate IT to lead enterprise IT strategy, governance, and service performance across a large, asset-intensive environment.

This role reports to executive leadership and owns the full Corporate IT portfolio, including strategy execution, service operations, vendor governance, risk management, and enterprise platform oversight.

• Translate business strategy into a funded IT portfolio with clear timelines and measurable outcomes
• Lead enterprise service management (availability, SLAs, capacity, resilience)
• Govern Cap Ex / OpEx budgets, financial transparency, and benefits realisation
• Oversee vendor & MSP performance, commercial accountability, and optimisation
• Drive IT risk management, audit readiness, and compliance frameworks
• Lead disaster recovery and cyber resilience planning with security teams
• Establish operating model clarity across IT pillars and delivery teams
• Provide executive dashboards, risk visibility, and decision support at SVP level
• Lead and develop a multi-layer IT leadership structure (40+ FTE)

• 12+ years in senior IT leadership roles
• Proven experience managing managers and enterprise-scale portfolios
• Strong background in IT strategy, governance, and service operations
• Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, or other regulated industries preferred
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP, Azure, Service Now or equivalent)
• Governance certifications (ITIL, PMP/PRINCE2, COBIT) advantageous
