We are seeking an experienced Master Data Manager to oversee the accuracy, governance, and lifecycle management of retail master data, including product, supplier, pricing, and store data. This role ensures data integrity across all systems to support commercial, supply chain, finance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities 1. Master Data Governance & Strategy- Define and implement master data governance framework, policies, and standards
- Establish data ownership, stewardship, and approval workflows
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
- Lead data quality initiatives and continuous improvement programs
- Oversee product lifecycle management (new listings, delistings, changes)
- Ensure accuracy of product hierarchy, attributes, and all data
- Align master data with category management strategy
- Support promotional and seasonal product setup
- Maintain supplier master data integrity and approval processes
- Ensure accurate payment terms, contracts, and commercial conditions
- Coordinate with procurement and finance for data validation
- Define KPIs for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Conduct regular audits and data cleansing activities
- Resolve data discrepancies across ERP, POS, and BI systems
- Monitor system integrations to ensure data consistency
- Act as key liaison between business and IT for master data systems
- Lead system enhancements and automation initiatives
- Support ERP implementation or upgrades related to master data
- Standardize data processes across stores and formats
- Manage and develop the master data team
- Provide training to business users on data standards and processes
- Foster accountability and data ownership culture across departments

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related fields
- 5–8+ years of experience in retail master data, ERP systems, or commercial operations
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics, etc)
- Experience in retail product hierarchy and pricing structures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
- Strong understanding of retail operations and category management
- High attention to details
- Ability to work in fast-paced retail environment
