Overview
As the Manager – Solution Engineering at Inception, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the technical and commercial worlds. Reporting to the Senior Director – Solution Engineering, you will lead the hands‑on design and articulation of enterprise AI solutions that align with customer goals and Inception’s technology capabilities. You’ll work across pre‑sales, architecture, and product teams to ensure our AI offerings are tailored, scalable, and impactful for clients across industries.

ResponsibilitiesPre‑Sales Solution Engineering
- Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to identify goals, challenges, and technology environments.
- Lead envisioning sessions with customers to integrate AI into business processes, improve efficiency, and drive AI‑first transformation.
- Design tailored, scalable solution architectures that align Inception’s capabilities with customer needs.
- Translate complex AI features into simple, compelling solution narratives for commercial use cases.
- Support RFP responses, client workshops, and proofs‑of‑concept with clear architectural guidance.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor for strategic customer engagements, ensuring alignment from pre‑sales to delivery.
- Collaborate closely with commercial and business development teams to build client confidence in proposed solutions.
- Deliver high‑impact solution presentations, demos, and technical briefings to stakeholders and decision‑makers.
- Work with sales, product managers and engineering leads to influence roadmaps based on real‑world customer needs.
- Coordinate with applied science teams to validate feasibility, performance, and scalability of proposed AI solutions.
- Ensure smooth knowledge transfer from pre‑sales engineering to delivery teams during project kickoffs.
- Map customers use cases with the product and identify gaps in product w.r.t customer requirements.
- Develop reusable templates, design patterns, and best practices to standardize and scale the solutioning process.
- Contribute to establishing KPIs that measure pre‑sales success, such as win rate and deal velocity.
- Strong experience in technology consulting with focus on solution engineering, technical pre‑sales, or solution architecture roles.
- Ability to simplify complex technical ideas and communicate them to business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with cloud‑native platforms, AI/ML infrastructure, and enterprise integration patterns.
- A collaborative, customer‑first mindset with the ability to work across technical and commercial teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- 14+ years of experience in technical pre‑sales, solution architecture, or consulting roles, preferably in AI, cloud, or SaaS.
- Hands‑on knowledge of designing large‑scale enterprise solutions.
- Must have experience in at least one industry:
Retail, FSI, Telco, Software Product, or Public Sector/National Security. - Experience working with commercial and delivery teams to support the full solution lifecycle.
