The Cloud Engineer (Wintel) will design, implement, and manage enterprise infrastructure systems that support Core
42’s digital solutions. This includes VMware private cloud environments, Wintel platforms, and hybrid multi‑cloud architectures. The role participates in infrastructure design, architecture support, implementation, and operational readiness while ensuring solutions meet Core
42 quality, security, and performance standards.

• Infrastructure Implementation & Delivery
  • Implement and manage multi‑cloud infrastructure following best practices and Core
    42’s security standards.
  • Ensure customer solutions are configured and deployed accurately and on time.
  • Develop migration plans, preparations, and cutover activities with internal and external teams.
  • Perform infrastructure assessments and deliver due‑diligence reports.
  • Develop and maintain low‑level designs, system diagrams, installation guides, support procedures, test plans, and runbooks.
  • Create, document, and implement Disaster Recovery Plans and conduct DR drills.
• Systems Engineering – Wintel & VMware
  • Deploy and manage server hardware including chassis, blades, and rack servers with hypervisors and Windows OS.
  • Execute large‑scale upgrades, migrations, transitions, and consolidation of Microsoft services (Active Directory, ADFS, Exchange, DNS, DHCP).
  • Implement and configure Windows Clustering, MSSQL, SCCM, and file services (DFS).
  • Install patches, fixes, and perform system upgrades.
  • Conduct advanced problem determination and root‑cause analysis.
• Operational Readiness & Governance
  • Plan and execute Core
    42’s Operational Readiness (OR) process for infrastructure projects to ensure seamless transition into production support.
  • Work as a technical lead with third‑party vendors to ensure adherence to Core
    42 quality standards.
• Knowledge Management & SME Leadership
  • Capture, document, and share knowledge across engineering teams.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and contribute to knowledge repositories.
• Project Management & Collaboration
  • Support project scope definition, requirement gathering, communication management, scheduling, and resource alignment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical architects, delivery leads, and implementation engineers.
  • Complete project activities on time, within budget, and within scope.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certifications from Azure, AWS, VMware, or G42 cloud platform providers; ITIL Foundation certification preferred.

• Technical Implementation Engineer experience in VMware private cloud / virtualization and Wintel environments.
• Experience in a Cloud Engineer role.
• Strong understanding of multi‑cloud, hybrid cloud, on‑premises to cloud migrations, and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS delivery models.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Knowledge of security hardening and system performance tuning.

• Expertise in cloud onboarding and implementation across hybrid multi‑cloud platforms (AWS, G42, Azure, VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Strong understanding of networking, LAN/WAN, micro‑segmentation, firewalls, WAF, and load balancers.
• Understanding of high‑availability configurations, DR, and backup solutions.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting in multi‑cloud environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Awareness of ITIL and project management frameworks.
