Monitoring Specialist
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Observability Operations Lead to join a mission-critical government program in Abu Dhabi. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, reliability, and resilience of essential services through advanced observability practices. You will lead strategic initiatives, optimize monitoring frameworks, and manage incident response in a high-pressure environment.

, taking responsibility for strengthening frameworks, enforcing governance, and ensuring real‑time reliability across complex national platforms.

- Strategic Leadership: Align observability practices with organizational goals, enforce SLOs/SLIs, and maintain governance frameworks.
- Monitoring Excellence: Implement and optimize tools such as Dynatrace
, Prometheus
, Grafana
, and Open Telemetry to ensure proactive detection and resolution. - Incident Management: Drive root cause analysis (RCA), reduce alert fatigue, and improve MTTR and MTBF metrics.
- Team Development: Mentor L1/L2 operational teams, deliver training programs, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for senior executives, providing clear insights and strategic recommendations.
- 6+ years in IT Operations or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with 3+ years in observability
. - Deep expertise in Dynatrace (One Agent, Davis AI, Synthetic Monitoring, DQL).
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools (
Prometheus
, Grafana
, Open Telemetry
). - Proven ability to manage high-stakes projects under pressure.
- Certifications such as Dynatrace Professional
, ITIL v4
, or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) are highly desirable.
