The role will be responsible for managing the Strategic, Governance and Technical aspects of Data management within the Bank. Role involves setting up the framework for Data office covering Data Management, Data Retention and Archiving, Data Quality Management, Data Architecture, Metadata Management, Master Business Intelligence, Data Governance and Data integration to ensure Data Integrity, compliance with regulatory requirements and fulfill internal, external, business and IT requirements.

This role is responsible for defining, managing and controlling master data and metadata management policies, controls and standards; review and update Data architecture principles. Data Management Specialist will work closely with the Head of Technology Portfolio Management & Transformation and other stakeholders to support the wider Technology strategy and respective data needs (e.g., Data science and Data monetization) of Business functions.

The job holder will assist to implement a collaborative Data management program involving Data owners, IT and Business staff.

• Bachelor / Master’s degree (Desirable) in Computer science, Data Science, Finance & Banking MIS or Information Management, Operations management.
• Proven track record of Data Management in Banking or Financial firms and hands-on experience of directly managing data and driving change within a large and complex business set–up.
• Vast experience in building and leading data science organization, setting up framework for Data management and Data Office as well as successful experience in advocating Data value across business and to diverse audiences.
• Professional certifications in data management, data governance is highly desirable e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP)
• Extensive experience in data management, data governance, data architecture, and data integration.
• Strong experience with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA Mastering Data Management Fundamentals - CDMP
  -DMBOK
  - Data Management Body of Knowledge), DCAM and the ability to establish data governance policies and procedures.
• Good knowledge of the information requirements and standard reporting within Financial Services industry
• Strong experience in all elements of the Data Management Body of Knowledge areas i.e. Goals and Principles, Organization and Culture, Activities, Deliverables, Practices and Techniques, Technology,

• Mastery in data modelling techniques, including conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Proficiency in data quality frameworks (e.g., Six Sigma, Total Data Quality Management (TDQM)) and the ability to develop and enforce data quality standards and procedures.
• Strong experience in data integration, ETL processes, and data management platforms and tools (Snowflake etc.).
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies and implementing cloud-based solutions and services for data management.
• Knowledge of Data Ware Housing, Data Lake (Cloudera), Data Lake House, and Data Mesh architecture and techniques
• Strong knowledge of data lake architectures and experience in managing and integrating data lakes using platforms like Azure and AWS.
• Knowledge of API management and integration, facilitating data exchange between internal systems and external data sources.
• Knowledge of Data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Understanding of Machine learning and AI frameworks and platforms.

• Working in Data Management, Technology and Digital for Banking or Financial firms.
• Experience in Enterprise Data Management i.e. Data Architecture, Data Retention and Archiving, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, Business Intelligence and Data Governance
• Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
• Strong organization skills including an ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands.
