Housekeeping Attendant

Overview

Job Description: A Housekeeping Attendant will support all Housekeeping and Laundry with guest requests, analyzing each request and delegating between team members, so that work is done efficiently and in a timely manner, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests.

As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will support all Housekeeping and Laundry team for all aspects by delegating the day-to-day activities within the hotel. Specifically, a Housekeeping Attendant will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Ensure consistently high operating standards in every area of Housekeeping and Laundry, as identified by the hotel brand standards
• Monitor appearance, standards, and performance of all Housekeeping and Laundry team members with an emphasis on training and teamwork
• Provide excellent guest service
• Assist with availability and release of rooms for guest service, along with Floor Housekeeping supervision
• Manage controls of the Housekeeping department, including frequency of employees, release of master keys, incident reporting, and linen and uniform input/output
• Check daily guest information in CRM and ensure that preferences and requests are met on time
• Coordinate special occasions (e.g., marriages, births) and provide embroidery for special linen (e.g., wedding and pampering)
• Manage monthly Lost and Found and donations
• Check uniforms and send for cleaning and/or repair
• Coordinate and control all traffic of documents and people within the department; release linen from Laundry daily
• Process daily guest clothing releases for guests using the laundry service
• Close monthly Laundry expenses and provisions
• Replaces Laundry Attendant in case of holidays, days off or absences

• Planning and organizing
• Good oral and written communication
• Previous experience in Laundry
• Good interpersonal skills
• Proficiency at an intermediate level with computers and Microsoft Office
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
• Excellent standards of cleanliness
