Danat Al Emarat is a world‑class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full‑fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral centre for women with high‑risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.
Responsibilities- Supervise and support Registered Nurses, Midwives, Healthcare Assistants, and administrative staff in collaboration with the Line Manager.
- Provide clinical and professional leadership to nursing staff, acting as a role model, mentor, and preceptor.
- Coordinate daily clinical operations, staffing, workload allocation, and skill mix to ensure safe and efficient care delivery.
- Deliver and oversee high‑quality patient care, including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and patient/family education.
- Ensure compliance with DOH/DHA regulations, infection control standards, and international accreditation requirements.
- Lead quality, safety, audit, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support staff orientation, competency assessments, performance management, and ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to service planning, resource management, recruitment, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid and current nursing license
- Minimum 2 years post‑registration experience and 2 years in a senior/charge nurse or leadership role in NICU
- Strong leadership, clinical decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with electronic medical records and accreditation standards
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic preferred)
