Conducting financial and economic analyses and providing technical advice to support the decision-making process in the Department.

• Implementing the function’s strategy and ensuring alignment between strategic objectives and the overall objectives of the Department of Finance.
• Implementing the function’s policies and procedures to cover all areas of work, to achieve compliance with internal controls and to provide high-quality and cost-effective services.
• Establishing a network of economic experts (Pool of experts) that can be utilized for consultancy in developing the emirate's macroeconomics.
• Working as a link between the sector and the senior management in the department and the Supreme Council with international institutions that may contribute as a part of the network of economic experts in the department.
• Provide advice to the Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs regarding strategic economic affairs.
• Provide technical advice in the field of macroeconomics to help all concerned sector employees carry out their roles and responsibilities towards the Supreme Council.
• Providing advice and innovative ideas in all matters related to macroeconomics and related policies.
• Providing advice on the economic development model of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (and/or) the state if necessary, and provide support to the specialized work team in order to develop economic development plans that meet the aspirations of the leadership.
• Providing consultations on comparative economic development models and their applicability to the economy of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi or the country.
• Provide technical advice on the state of the economy in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
• Provide the necessary support to the line manager and perform any other related tasks assigned.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in economics or equivalent in a similar specialization that is appropriate for the job duties.
• Preferable to have 6 to 8 years of experience in a similar field/position.
