Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Accountant to oversee day‑to‑day financial operations and ensure full compliance with accounting standards and local regulations. The role involves managing financial reporting, tax compliance, payroll processing, audit coordination, budgeting support, and vendor/customer transactions. The ideal candidate will ensure timely month‑end closures, accurate financial records, and strong internal financial controls.

• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policies
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Ensure month‑end closing of books within 7 working days
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial analysis
• Manage VAT filing and ensure compliance with local tax regulations
• Support corporate tax compliance and maintain proper documentation
• Coordinate external audits, prepare audit schedules, and liaise with auditors
• Process payroll accurately, including salary calculations and deductions
• Prepare customer invoices and ensure timely submission through prescribed channels
• Manage vendor payments, verify invoices, and reconcile accounts payable
• Pass monthly intercompany entries and reconcile intercompany balances
• Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis
• Handle daily financial tasks and respond to management inquiries

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of VAT and corporate tax regulations
• Experience with financial reporting and audit coordination
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
