We’re seeking a dynamic, commercially astute leader to drive the sustainable growth of HSBC’s International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) business in Abu Dhabi. You’ll shape strategy, lead a high‑performing team, and deliver exceptional customer experiences while ensuring robust risk management and governance.

The location for this position is Abu Dhabi, UAE.

• Drive IWPB’s strategic growth across all customer segments and product lines in Abu Dhabi.
• Collaborate closely with functional heads, product heads, distribution heads, and the Private Bank to deliver business objectives.
• Coordinate, agree and implement IWPB strategic plans by working with IWPB ExCo to agree Emirate specific business priorities. This includes rolling operation plans, cost saving targets and the implementation of the strategy, ensuring the successful delivery of business performance.
• Execute customer and product strategies with a laser focus on growing share of wallet in Wealth, acquiring high‑net‑worth clients, and reducing attrition.
• Represent HSBC with regulators, authorities, and key external stakeholders.
• Oversee financial performance, cost management, and the delivery of cost‑saving initiatives.
• Lead and inspire a diverse team of c.100 FTE, fostering a high‑performance, values‑led culture.
• Ensure effective governance, risk management, and compliance with Group standards.
• Champion change initiatives and operational excellence, leveraging market insights and internal benchmarks.
• Actively participate in UAE IWPB leadership forums and risk committees.

• Proven leadership experience managing a complex business unit with full P&L accountability.
• Deep knowledge of IWPB products, services, and the external regulatory environment.
• Strong commercial acumen to drive multi‑channel growth in line with the HSBC group strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders in a matrix environment.
• Ideally to have both front and back‑office experience within a global banking environment.
• Robust risk management background and financial/accounting acumen.
• Knowledge of technology development and its application to business needs.
• Understanding of the HSBC Group and its strategy, structures and processes.
• Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
• Graduation degree is a MUST to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
