About the RoleThe Head of Academy | Senior Lecturer will own the end-to-end learning strategy for finance and financial markets education, including course architecture, content governance, faculty/instructor management, assessments, and certification pathways. The individual will act as the primary business counterpart for the regulator and other external stakeholders to ensure alignment on learning outcomes, standards, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities- Define Academy strategy, operating model, and annual roadmap aligned with regulatory priorities and business needs
- Lead development of courses and learning pathways (beginner to advanced) across capital markets, trading, market structure, risk, compliance, and related topics
- Establish academic governance: curriculum standards, review cycles, assessment methodology, and quality control
- Recruit, onboard, and manage instructors/content developers; oversee delivery formats (in-person, virtual, blended)
- Implement measurement: learner outcomes, completion rates, satisfaction, exam performance, and continuous improvement
- Ensure professional presentation and learner experience (English/Arabic where applicable) and alignment with relevant regulations and industry best practices
- Extensive academic and/or training leadership experience in finance and financial markets (e.g., capital markets, market microstructure, derivatives, fixed income, portfolio/risk, regulatory frameworks)
- Demonstrated experience developing courses/curricula (including learning outcomes, assessments, and instructional design)
- Strong stakeholder management, particularly with regulators or standards-setting bodies
- Excellent communication and executive-level writing skills; ability to represent the firm externally
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple deliverables under timelines
- Native or near-native English and Arabic (strong advantage)
- Background from top-tier universities or recognized financial education institutions (preferred but not required)
- Relevant credentials (e.g., CFA/FRM or equivalent) are a plus
- Experience launching an academy, certification program, or professional training function is a plus
