- Lead and oversee financial management of operations.
- Ensure robust financial planning, reporting, control, and support strategic decision making.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor financial performance, ensure regulatory and corporate compliance.
- Provide insightful analysis to senior leadership and strengthen financial governance.
- Improve cost optimisation and drive sustainable profitability.
- Dual reporting to business and operational finance leaders; partner with operations to provide finance and decision‑making support.
- Maintain profit and loss, working capital, and, where applicable, balance sheet responsibilities.
- Implement governance, financial control, internal and external reporting, forecasting, and cash collection duties.
- Manage, recruit, develop, and coach a finance team.
- Ensure Group requirements and risk mitigation are adhered to.
- Own monthly reporting, variance analysis, accounts receivable, DSO, accruals, and unbilled analysis.
- Own annual budget, forecasts, and rolling forecasts with senior management.
- Ensure forecasting accuracy via rolling forecast versus monthly actuals.
- Own monthly customer billing and invoice preparation.
- Drive working capital improvements and optimise cash collection.
- Assist during client audits and dispute management.
- Engage commercial teams during bid and contract phases; provide financial terms and analysis.
- Engage auditors and ensure completion of audits.
- Maintain controls, compliance, and adherence to Group frameworks.
- Handle project accounting, reviews, analysis, provisioning, and coordination with Commercial, Legal, and Tax.
- Serve as conduit between business and Legal, Tax, Treasury, IT, Shared Services, and Supply Chain.
- Qualified accountant or working towards a qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant accounting or commercial experience.
- Commercial experience with strong cost‑model understanding.
- Track record of managing and developing teams.
- People‑management experience.
- Strong IT/Systems knowledge.
- Experience of business partnering.
- Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships.
- Strong people skills and ability to develop a team.
- Deadline‑driven.
