Required Technical Skills

  • Advanced financial modelling in Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and dashboard style reporting.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for multi entity or group structures.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and group consolidation, including revenue recognition, leases, and intercompany eliminations.
  • Hands on experience with accounting and ERP systems such as Oracle, Net Suite, Odoo or similar, including report extraction and data reconciliation.
  • Experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to build automated dashboards and KPI reports.
  • Familiarity with UAE tax and regulatory environments, including VAT, corporate tax, and related compliance.
  • Strong skills in cash flow analysis, liquidity planning, and financial structuring in support of Group CFO decisions.
  • Experience supporting audits, including data room preparation, reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules
Your Mission
  • Perform accurate financial forecasting, reporting, and P&L tracking, including key operational metrics for W Group entities.
  • Analyze financial data and create robust financial models for decision support and scenario evaluation.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results against budgets and forecasts and highlight key variances.
  • Guide and support the cost analysis process by helping establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Identify and drive process improvements in Group finance, including the creation of standard and ad hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  • Increase productivity and reporting quality by developing automated reporting and forecasting tools.
Job Scope

The Finance Director will support the Group CFO by managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting across W Group and its entities. The role will coordinate annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly reporting, lead financial planning processes, and provide analytical insight to support strategic and operational decision making.

The role requires a strong analytical skill set, with the ability to interpret financial performance, evaluate new business opportunities, perform cost and variance analysis, and communicate clearly with senior management, stakeholders, and partners. The Group Finance Director will act as a key execution partner to the Group CFO, ensuring disciplined financial planning, accurate reporting, and structured financial analysis across the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the annual financial planning and reporting process across all W Group entities.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, monthly variances, and periodic reforecasts.
  • Develop trend analyses and consolidated forecasts for the Group, highlighting key financial movements.
  • Evaluate the financial and strategic impact of new business opportunities, including basic investment appraisal.
  • Develop root cause analysis and gap closure plans when results deviate from financial expectations, working closely with other departments.
  • Prepare and present financial plans, projections, and scenario analyses to senior management and the Group CFO.
  • Support the Group CFO with the statutory audits for the Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Support the Group CFO with the monthly VAT returns and the CIT return.
  • Maintain an analytical view of monthly financial reporting and prepare the monthly management report summarising financial performance by vertical.
  • Communicate directly with stakeholders and partners for contractual or agreed financial reporting requirements.
  • Perform, with the support of auditors, agreed revenue reconciliation procedures as requested by stakeholders.
  • Perform monthly revenue reconciliation and lead on the monthly reporting of revenue with the strategic partners. Support benchmarking using quantitative tools to compare Group performance to local industry standards.
  • Lead on monthly collections from customers by having weekly updates with the AR accountants and with salespeople when required,
  • Review the weekly payment schedules to suppliers and ensure that invoices are properly reconciled and recorded.
  • Support the Group CFO in yearly cash flow reporting and monthly forecasts.
