Overview

We are looking for a Financial Accounting Officer with experience in Oracle ERP systems and a good understanding of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICOFR). This role is responsible for accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining strong internal controls to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Key Accountabilities
  • Maintain and manage general ledger accounts and ensure timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end closings using Oracle Fusion.
  • Good knowledge in performing bank reconciliation, maintaining Fixed Asset Register & Project Module.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis by preparing schedules and investigating discrepancies.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Support the development and maintenance of documentation related to ICOFR processes and controls, including risk and control matrices.
  • Provide accounting services to internal customers and group entities meeting agreed service levels and collaborate with cross‑functional departments.
  • Support on financial accounting assignments, tasks, transactions including preparation of financial statements.
  • Serve as first point of contact for financial information needs of external authorities like SCAD, TRA, Space Survey, etc.
Technical Competencies

Financial Accounting:

  • The process of performing end‑to‑end accounting activities (also known as record‑to‑report) in line with general accounting practices and international financial reporting standards including revenue accounting, costs accounting, asset accounting etc.
  • Budgets:
    The process of performing accounting activities in line with recognized local and international standards.
  • Financial Analysis and reporting:
    The process of analyzing financial data; reviewing and reconciling data for accuracy, consistency and completeness; creating external financial reports in compliance with IFRS including financial consolidation; creating internal management reports for performance reporting and decision making.
  • Financial information management systems:
    The process of identifying and utilizing suitable financial information management systems; maintaining and managing financial systems (ERP) with appropriate internal controls to deliver qualified financial information.
  • Financial resources management:
    The process of identifying, securing, distributing, and managing financial resources in an effective manner so that the organization’s strategic objectives are achieved.
  • Financial risk management and internal control:
    The process of identifying, assessing, mitigating, and managing financial risks that the organization might be exposed to in line with set policies and procedures; including review of customer and supplier contracts.
  • Finance operations:
    The process of carrying out routine finance operational functions including financial transaction processing, revenue assurance, supplier management, key account management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, insurance, VAT compliance and other financial services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA/ACCA preferred).
