General Accountant, Income Audit Lead

The General Accountant, Income Audit Lead will lead the revenue verification and financial recording processes for our shared services business units. This role is critical in ensuring daily revenue integrity, compliance with internal controls, and accurate general ledger management. The position has a strong background in hotel accounting, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to lead and improve financial processes.

• Oversee the daily audit of hotel revenue streams including rooms, food & beverage, spa, and other outlets.
• Verify the accuracy of daily revenue reports and reconcile against POS and PMS systems.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue postings, voids, discounts, and payment variances.
• Ensure proper recording of service charges, taxes, and gratuities in accordance with policies.
• Review night audit summaries and collaborate with front office and F&B departments to ensure compliance.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate posting of all journal entries.
• Perform monthly closing procedures including accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and financial standards (e.g., USALI).
• Work closely with accounts payable, receivable, and other finance team members to ensure accuracy and collaboration.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in hotel accounting, with a strong focus on income audit and general ledger responsibilities.
• Solid knowledge of Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).
• Experience with hotel financial systems such as Opera PMS, MICROS POS, Sun Systems.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
