We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant / Cost Accountant with experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry. This role is responsible for monitoring and controlling F&B costs, conducting variance analysis, managing inventory, and ensuring accuracy in financial records and compliance with FTA VAT regulations
. The ideal candidate will support budgeting, financial planning, and help maximize profitability through effective cost management.
- Prepare accurate cost calculations for recipes and menu items
. - Analyze food and beverage cost trends; recommend pricing strategies
. - Conduct variance analysis between actual and theoretical costs.
- Monitor monthly costs against budget targets; flag deviations.
- Identify and report on inefficiencies, wastage, or overspending
.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in stock counts
. - Prepare and analyze monthly inventory, consumption, and wastage reports
. - Track and allocate staff meal consumption costs.
- Review and reconcile supplier invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
. - Ensure all transactions comply with internal policies and FTA VAT regulations
. - Review and post petty cash and credit card expenses
. - Support Finance Manager in implementing cost control systems
.
- Perform periodic audits and spot checks to ensure operational compliance.
- Respond to internal cost-related queries and help resolve discrepancies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
, or related discipline. - 2–5 years of experience in accounting or cost control
, preferably in the F&B, hospitality, or retail industries. - Solid understanding of inventory control, cost analysis
, and FTA tax compliance
. - Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software Tally, Quick Books, SAP
). - Strong analytical, organizational
, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
