Position: Financial Due Diligence - Senior Nationals Only

The opportunity

You will work in teams with experienced due diligence professionals, where you will learn and develop the skills needed to perform due diligence across various situations and sectors. There is an opportunity for travel within MENA. When working on projects, you will almost always be part of a wider cross-service line team.

As you progress in your career with EY, you'll have the chance to work on more complex transactions, lead teams, build relationships with clients and other members of the corporate finance community, and take on broader roles within the business.

Your key responsibilities

As an executive in the Transaction Diligence team, you'll participate in due diligence engagements related to transactions involving private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers. You'll analyze financial and operational results of target companies by reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with management. You'll work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating commitment to quality, sharing responsibilities, supporting team members, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress.

Skills and attributes for success

Strong analytical skills are essential, as you'll research technical accounting issues, evaluate implications on transaction valuation and structuring, and analyze financial information to identify trends. Good communication skills are also vital for preparing reports and schedules for clients and maintaining productive relationships.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to due diligence.
  • Knowledge of IFRS.
  • Ability to analyze financial and non-financial information to form conclusions.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience in transactions or auditing.
  • Client-facing experience from a professional services background.
  • Proficiency in Arabic.
